Welcome To Nafeesah Designs

Welcome to the Blog! I guess I’ll start by giving the story behind the name “Nafeesah Designs”. I struggle coming up with usernames, business names, etc. I wanted my business name to indicate what I would offer but also allow some flexibility. I knew I wanted to sell planners (after making one for myself and realizing that others may find it useful) and I also decided I would like to sell prints. The word Nafeesah (نفيسة) is an Arabic word which translates to things like a gem, precious thing, rarity, masterpiece and mainly valuable. (نفيسة: شيء ذو قيمة). I knew I would want to sell products in addition to planners and prints (hence the “more” in my logo). because of this, I needed a name that would cover the wide range of products I hoped to sell. Value is something I want all of my products to have, I want them to be made with the user in mind and a means of adding some value to the persons' life with Allāh’s permission. In addition, each product is a design of some sort. So I would translate my shop name to “Valuable/Precious Designs”. I want each design (be it a planner, print, flashcards, bookmarks, or anything else) to be precious to the buyer in some way and to be of value to them. I hope to keep this as one of my focuses as I develop my brand and expand my product line in sha Allāh.    

With that being said welcome to the site and welcome to the blog. I hope each design you purchase is one that is nafeesah (valuable and/or precious in some manner).  I hope to post here once a month give or take (going for quality over quantity, but hoping for both). I have a DIY idea I’ve been wanting to share so be on the lookout in sha Allāh.   

You also might wonder why I don’t have products available for shipping like prints and other items. At the moment it isn’t something I can really offer, but I hope to have that option available soon in sha Allāh.
